Tracy Brown, CPM®
Senior Managing Director, Multi-Family Management

Tracy is a licensed Michigan Real Estate Sales Person and has her CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management. Tracy Brown is the Senior Managing Director of Multi-Family Services for Friedman. She is a licensed Michigan Real Estate Sales Person and has her CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management. She has more than 25 years of property management experience, including conventional market rate, section 8-11, section 8-D3 and LHITC. Prior to joining Friedman, she worked as Director of Property Management for a New York based firm overseeing a portfolio of properties in Detroit and Manhattan.

Rob Platt
Executive Vice President, Multi-Family Strategy and Investments

Rob Platt has a 20-Year history as a mixed-use multi-family owner, operator, developer, and financier. His most recent multi-family endeavors included the oversight of $2B in mixed-use apartment projects from a debt and equity standpoint, including all financing activities, including construction lending, permanent financing, acquisitions, dispositions, and management of 270 employees across seven states. He also played a key role in the development of multiple new development projects, including historic tax credit office building conversions in major urban settings across the Midwest. Rob entered the multi-family industry in 2005 as a Property Manager with Village Green Companies and rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Asset Management. He maintained personal oversight of the mixed-use multi-family portfolio for Village Green of over 36 apartment assets for 11 years at which point he departed and created another multi-family development venture in 2015. Most recently, Rob developed, constructed, and is an owner/operator of an Outdoor Resort in Gaylord, MI. Amongst other pursuits, Rob is involved with multiple restaurants and lodging accommodations located around the northern part of Michigan in addition to legacy apartment projects from his prior employment. Rob received a BS in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University and was a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization), Motor City Chapter, up until he began pursuing personal ventures. He was also recognized by Crain’s Detroit as a 40 Under 40 award honoree many years ago. Rob has been married to his wife Kathy for 14 years who have a son, Ryker, who is approaching his 10th birthday in November. He is a brother to three crazy dogs named Cayman (Collie/Lab Mix), Cody (Black Mouth Cur), and Sir Huxley (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel).

Stacey Kontry
Director, Multi-Family Management

Stacey serves as a Director of Multifamily Management overseeing a portfolio of communities in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, North Dakota, and Mississippi. She has more than 14 years of experience in multifamily housing overseeing A, B, and C class properties. Her current portfolio includes conventional market rate, student, real estate owned, and receivership assets. Prior to joining Friedman in 2016, Stacey spent four years working in the Colorado Springs and Denver markets, overseeing operations and large scale renovations on new acquisitions. Stacey has a bachelor’s degree from Albion College.

Daniel Highsmith
Director, Multifamily Management

Daniel Highsmith serves as Director of Multifamily Management, overseeing a diverse portfolio of communities across Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, and Texas. With nearly 30 years of experience in multifamily management and real estate sales, he has successfully managed a wide range of assets, including conventional communities, real estate-owned properties, receivership assets, and affordable housing. Before rejoining Friedman Real Estate, Daniel worked as an Asset Manager, overseeing properties in four states. His career also includes leadership roles such as Director of Property Management, Regional Manager, and Process Improvement. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Wilberforce University.

Known for her strategic mindset and people-first leadership style, Angela has built her career around creating scalable processes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring excellence at every level of operations. Angela is passionate about mentorship, emotional intelligence, and community impact. She actively volunteers through faith-based and school programs, using creativity and collaboration to inspire others. Her leadership philosophy, “Do the right thing, the right way”, reflects her belief that integrity and empathy are the foundation of lasting success.

Marci Watson
Director of Transitions and Special Projects, Multi-Family Management

Marci Watson started with Friedman Communities in 2024 as Director of Multi-Family, managing properties in both Michigan and Ohio. Since her start, she has taken a new role as Special Project and Transition Director. Marci helps provide a high level of support during the multifamily onboarding and offboarding of assets. Marci is a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS). She has more than 30 years of experience in multifamily housing, overseeing A, B, and C class properties. Prior to joining Friedman, Marci had comprehensive knowledge of multifamily property operations, renovations, and property transactions. She has managed portfolios in 14 states.

Tara Nucci
Accounting Associate Director, Multi-Family Management

Tara Nucci, CPA serves as Associate Director of the Multi-Family Division of Friedman. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accounting from Michigan State University. Tara began her career at a local Chicagoland public accounting firm, Bansley & Kiener, LLP. In 2013, Tara began her career with Friedman Real Estate as the Senior Corporate Accountant. She was then promoted to Multi-Family Accounting Manager in 2015 where she has been overseeing the accounting functions of Friedman’s Multi-Family Communities since.

Norman Caldwell
Marketing Manger, Multifamily

Norm Caldwell is an experienced marketing and leasing leader with a track record of driving performance across diverse multifamily portfolios. Before joining Friedman Communities, Norm led the marketing efforts for a Michigan-based portfolio of over 14,000 units, where he developed scalable digital strategies, launched property rebrands, and built high-performing sales teams. Norm has successfully overseen leasing and marketing efforts for new construction and redevelopment communities in markets including Pittsburgh, Detroit, Kansas City, Louisville, and Minneapolis. His experience spans a range of asset classes and market conditions, allowing him to tailor strategies that deliver measurable results. He earned his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, where he studied Philosophy and Communication Arts and Sciences.
